Every reclaimed pine bench seat will vary naturally in colour, grain, texture and appearance. You may find knots, saw marks, splits, nail markings, dents and other signs of the timber's previous life.
These natural characteristics are not faults or defects. They are what give reclaimed wood furniture its distinctive charm and individuality.
Rather than trying to make every bench look identical, we carefully select and work with the character already present in the timber, creating furniture that feels genuinely old, authentic and lived-in.

Every Frank & Pig reclaimed pine farmhouse bench is handmade to order in our Devon workshop.
Each piece is individually constructed, finished and polished by hand, with careful attention given to the natural character of the reclaimed timber.
Our current lead time is approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on demand. If you need your bench for a particular date, please contact us before ordering and we'll always do our very best to accommodate your requirements wherever possible.

Caring for Your Reclaimed Wood Bench
To keep your reclaimed pine bench looking its best, we recommend occasionally applying a high-quality clear natural beeswax polish. This helps nourish and protect the timber while maintaining its natural warmth and finish.
We recommend keeping your reclaimed furniture away from harsh direct sunlight and direct heat sources such as radiators and wood burners. Excessive heat can cause natural timber to dry, move or crack over time.

Important Information
Because every piece of reclaimed timber is unique, we are unable to offer an exact colour-matching service.
All our furniture is finished in our signature medium wax finish, but the final colour, grain, texture and appearance will naturally vary from the photographs shown.
These variations are an inherent part of handmade reclaimed furniture and are what make each bench individual.
As all our benches are handmade to order specifically for you, they cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind once production has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights where furniture is faulty or does not conform to the contract.
We cannot accept responsibility for damage or deterioration resulting from failure to follow the care guidance supplied with your furniture.
