Handmade Log Stores with Reclaimed Welsh Slate Roofs

A country home is never quite complete without a good supply of logs and kindling ready for the colder months. Our handmade log stores are designed to keep your firewood neatly organised, well ventilated and protected from the elements, while looking beautiful enough to become a feature in your garden or outdoor space.

Handmade in the UK, every Frank & Pig log store is built with care using quality, durable materials and finished with a reclaimed Welsh slate roof. Each roof has its own unique character, colour and natural patina, making every log store completely individual. Alongside their timeless good looks, our reclaimed slate roofs provide excellent protection from rain and weather, helping to keep your logs dry and ready to burn.

Our log stores are constructed using tanalised treated timber, providing increased protection against fungal attack and rot and helping your store withstand the demands of the British weather. Designed with practicality and longevity in mind, our robust wooden log stores are made to be used and enjoyed for years to come.

From compact single-bay log stores designed for smaller patios, courtyards and gardens, to substantial multi-bay log stores capable of holding several tonnes of firewood, we have a solution for every home. Our larger designs can also incorporate dedicated storage for wheelie bins and recycling bins, combining practical outdoor storage with beautiful handmade craftsmanship.

Whether you need a small log store for a modest supply of firewood or a large, heavy-duty log store to accommodate a substantial winter's worth of logs, our range is designed to make storing firewood simple, tidy and attractive.

Every log store is handmade to order and can be selected to suit the space available and the amount of firewood you need to store. With designs ranging from traditional single-bay stores to large four-bay and combined log and bin stores, our collection offers practical, durable storage without compromising on style.

We offer delivery and professional installation across Mainland UK and Wales, making it easy to have your new handmade log store delivered and positioned ready for use.

If you're looking for a high-quality handmade log store, a traditional wooden log store with a reclaimed Welsh slate roof, or a practical log and bin store combination, discover the Frank & Pig collection — handmade in the UK and built to stand the test of time.

    Choosing the Right Log Store

A regularly used wood burner gets through roughly two to three cubic metres of seasoned logs across a British winter. Open fires burn considerably more. If you buy firewood by the load and want a full season under cover, look at the double, triple and extra-large bay stores. If you top up through the winter, a compact or single-bay store will do the job without dominating the garden.

Kindling needs to stay drier than logs and disappears faster than you expect, so a dedicated kindling shelf is worth having. Cupboard options give you somewhere for firelighters, gloves, an axe and the general garden bits currently living in a bag by the back door.

Wet wood burns badly and tars up your flue. Our stores are open-fronted with slatted sides and raised off the ground so air moves through the stack, with a pitched roof so rain runs off rather than sitting. Logs stacked properly in one will keep drying rather than slowly rotting.

    Slate Roofs, Installation and Guarantee

Every roof is finished in reclaimed Welsh slate. Each tile has its own colour, texture and weathering, which is why no two of our stores look identical. Slate handles British weather in a way felt and corrugated sheeting simply don't. It won't tear in a gale, it won't go brittle in the sun, and it looks better with age rather than worse.

Every log store comes with a ten-year guarantee and professional installation by our own team, so you don't need to build or lift anything. All we ask is that you prepare the base. These stores are heavy before a single log goes in, so they need a flat, solid surface: concrete, timber decking, flagstones or pavers are all ideal.
