Sustainable, Stable and Built to Be Lived With
Reclaimed furniture keeps solid timber in use rather than sending it to landfill or a wood chipper, and it means no new tree comes down to make your table. It's also the practical choice. Old timber has already done its moving, drying and settling, so it's dense, stable and far less likely to warp or split than kiln-dried new stock.
Solid wood still moves a little, responding to heat and humidity in your home, particularly in the first few months. That's normal. Keep it clear of radiators and direct sunlight where you can, wipe up spills rather than leaving them to sit, and re-wax or re-oil once or twice a year.
