Handmade Reclaimed Pine Kitchen Island / Breakfast Bar – UK Made Rustic Farmhouse Furniture

We are proud to introduce our handmade reclaimed pine kitchen island / breakfast bar, a statement piece of rustic farmhouse furniture designed to bring warmth, character and functionality into the heart of your home.

Expertly handcrafted in our Devon workshop, this solid wood kitchen island measures approximately 7ft long x 3ft6” deep, making it the perfect centrepiece for both modern kitchens and traditional country-style interiors.

Handmade Reclaimed Wood Kitchen Island with Character

Each kitchen island is individually made using reclaimed and salvaged local pine, including old beams and floorboards, some of which are hundreds of years old. By using reclaimed timber, we ensure no new trees are cut down, making every piece a sustainable and environmentally conscious choice.

This is not mass-produced furniture - every island is completely unique, full of natural character, knots, grain variation, and authentic rustic charm.

Please note: if you are looking for a perfectly flat, engineered surface with uniform edges, reclaimed wood may not be suitable.

Handmade to Order

Each reclaimed wood kitchen island is made to order in Devon with a lead time of approximately 6–8 weeks depending on demand.

Every piece is crafted with care, attention and traditional woodworking techniques to ensure strength, durability and long-lasting quality.

Natural Character of Reclaimed Wood

Reclaimed timber is not uniform or engineered, and natural movement, knots, cracks, dips and variations are part of its beauty.

The surface may not be perfectly flat throughout, as each plank is selected and arranged to showcase its natural history and character. As a result, items such as glasses or vases may not sit completely level in all areas.  These features are not faults — they are what make each handmade kitchen island truly one of a kind.

Delivery Information

We deliver across the UK mainland using a professional two-man delivery team operating from Devon.

Your kitchen island will be delivered in two sections (base/frame and top) to a ground floor location only. The top will require fixing to the base using the supplied wooden fixings. For ease, we recommend using an electric screwdriver.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Your reclaimed wood kitchen island is finished with Osmo oil to protect the surface.

To maintain its beauty:

  • Avoid placing hot pans directly on the surface

  • Wipe spills immediately, especially acidic substances such as vinegar or bicarbonate of soda

  • Use protective mats and coasters where possible

Ongoing Care

Over time, oiled surfaces may show signs of wear and reduced water resistance.

To maintain protection:

  • Clean using Osmo spray cleaner

  • Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly

  • Reapply Osmo Top Oil very sparingly with a lint-free cloth

Please Note

We are unable to offer a colour matching service. All furniture is finished in a natural medium oil finish; however, reclaimed wood varies in tone, grain and texture, meaning each piece will differ slightly from photographs.

These natural variations are part of the charm and individuality of handmade reclaimed furniture.

As all pieces are made to order, they are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has begun unless faulty.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by failure to follow the care instructions provided.
